Happily...

I know I can be quite lazy about keeping you all updated about what's going on in my life [sidenote: Mom, this post is NOT going where you think it is, so take some deep breaths], but last Friday I had pretty much the most fun time ever hanging out with some friends who got engaged in the fall. They rounded up a big group to go check out their wedding band playing at a local bar. Did I mention it was a 90s cover band? So, yeah, best time EVER.

I loved hearing the details about their wedding, and I started thinking about why on earth I don't post more wedding inspiration here on the blog for stylish readers like the future bride? So, here we go. Introducing the latest (randomly updated) series on the blog...

Some photos are clearly wedding-inspired. Others (like the middle photo) have "just something about them" that's inspiring to me. Either way, hope you enjoy no matter what your marital status is!

Scenes from Icelandic Wedding

Cold-weather weddings seem to get no love, (unless it happens to be snowing), but this Icelandic wedding proves just how stunning an autumn/winter wedding can be. Although it helps to be in Iceland.

Thumb Print Heart Wedding Favors

How cute are these favors spotted in the latest Martha Stewart Weddings?? The hearts are made by overlapping the thumbprints of the bride and groom. See more photos from the wedding here.

Canopy of Streamers

Love the canopy of streamers at this wedding, in fact the whole wedding was darn right adorable. You can see the rest here on Once Wed. Event design by Ashley Meaders.

Love: Handmade Wedding Dresses

Attention handmade brides -- I think you should really get to know Katie Jean Walker (KT Jean Designs) whose custom-made wedding dresses rival (maybe even surpass) those at any fancy bridal boutique. Simply adoring the cascading tulle and lace details (I mean that T-strap back! Swoon.)

Love: Papel Picado

Seeing as there is still an hour left of Cinco de Mayo, I wanted to highlight Papel Picado -- a Mexican paper-cutting folk art that I just adore. Seen to great effect in this lovely Mexican meets French wedding. And of course, the invites would be made by Rifle Paper Co's brilliant Anna Bond. Love.

Flower Child Wedding Inspiration

When I first caught these vivid and bohemian images over at Style Me Pretty, I thought this wedding was too perfectly lovely to be real...annnd I was kind of right because it seems like it might be just a photo shoot from Jessica Claire Photo Shop (with an assist from Flowerwild and Duet Weddings)

No matter if this adorable couple is real or not, (but they should be based on cuteness alone!) I am still totally blown away by this gorgeousness -- that dress! (which was an Ebay find btdubs). Love. Love. Love.

Custom Invitations from Rifle Paper Co.

It's no secret that Rifle Paper Co. is one of my favorite sources for stationery, but I am dying, DYING over these gorgeous custom invitations from Rifle's Anna Bond. Just, wow.

BTdubs, Rachel over at Black Eiffel also has a post up about this gorgeousness.

Custom Calligraphy from Leigh Wells

Discovered in the latest Martha Stewart Weddings (which I read because I like pretty pictures, so don't get too excited mom). Leigh does custom calligraphy for anything from invitations to personalized tote bags, which were used as adorable bridesmaid's gifts in the magazine. Cute, right? Learn more about Leigh here.

Inspiration 3.4

Yup, that's right. I'm going to start rolling event styling ideas into the daily inspiration. When else can you create something as awesome as this? Love this idea for a lush, bright wedding inspired by India.

Love: Yellow Owl Workshop

I did not think it was possible for me to find another purveyor of custom stationery that rivaled my love for Bird & Banner, but I think Yellow Owl Workshop just did. I love their fairy-tale inspired invites and their adorable "imperial" stationery. Want.
