Inspiration 2.10

You know what's not cool anymore. Winter. Over it. Completely ready for what comes next -- al fresco lunches, private gardens tucked away on city roofs and postage stamp yards. Overgrown foliage, rose buds, warm sun and outdoor showers...

Inspiration 9.3

I keep telling myself that I'd never really want to live in a modern house, that I need the protection of sturdy beams, insulation and plaster to feel at home -- then I see images like this, and the feeling is a lot like love.

Wishing all of my New England readers being visited by Hurricane Earl a weekend as tranquil as this looks.

Terrain Weck Succulent Collection

As a card-carrying member of the black-thumb club, succulents have always carried a sort of promise in my mind. They require very little attention, and generally seem pretty hard to kill. The same goes for terrariums.

So, of course, I got super excited when I saw this collection of succulents planted in Weck canning jars -- until I realized that Terrain only delivers them within 30-miles of their Pennsylvania location.

I still couldn't resist posting for those of you who are more ambitious than me -- Weck canning jars are cheap, and Trader Joe's usually sells succulents at a price that makes a little experimenting seem worth it.

Vintage Spoon Garden Markers

As an apartment dweller, I'm so envious of everyone with a little patch of dirt to grow their own veggie garden in -- it just seems like a great way to take more ownership of what you eat, spend more time outside and save money while you're at it.

But just because I can't have a garden of my own doesn't mean I won't share cute finds for all of you green thumbs out there -- like these upcycled spoon garden markers from Daisy Chestnut on Etsy.

By the way, I just want to thank everyone who's visited and commented on my blog recently -- even though I've been somewhat absent from Twitter and my blog reader has been horribly neglected. I'm just wrapping up one of my busiest work periods ever, and your support is the only thing keeping me going -- so...Thank You!!

Inspiration 3.4

Yup, that's right. I'm going to start rolling event styling ideas into the daily inspiration. When else can you create something as awesome as this? Love this idea for a lush, bright wedding inspired by India.
