High Gloss Magazine Debut

Many of you may have heard of High Gloss magazine's debut, yesterday. If you haven't, see it here. It is the brain child of my friend and Houston blogger, Paloma Contreras. What a labor of love and it has paid off!!
The debut issue also features the work of another friend and Houston designer, Sally Wheat. I'm loving this place. Sally has such a great collector's eye and an appreciation for modern art, her interiors are so fresh!

Do you love this incredible kitchen, or what?! Its modern and classic at the same time.
P.S. if you stop by Sally's website, check out her photos. Several of them where taken by yours truly. Why haven't I mentioned this before, you ask. Well, all I can say is that last year, I lost my mind. I'm slowly finding it again. More on those photos later:)

Conversion Charts

via on Pinterest

Ideally, I wish I could have a conversion chart for everything.
Like how to convert the real world into a way my brain can understand it... Not sure where to find that.
But, at least I could have a fabulous chart for the kitchen!

Eclectic House: Kitchens

I'm building a virtual house, room by room. I think on the inside I'm a frustrated home builder. So, my first step to fulfilling my housing development dreams is to collect ideas of what I would like to see. Of course what would these houses be but eclectic! The question remains, would anyone buy into my vision?

Okay, this photo isn't exactly of a kitchen...but its a kitchen skylight! I mean how fantastic is this idea?!

This kitchen may be my favorite. Its spare without losing its earthy feel. I have collected more eclectic kitchens
on my new Houzz profile. Go check it out here

Best Cafe Design with Green Themes

I love very much on green theme in a public place such as a cafe, here I collect several picture of green theme cafe from several places, just feel free to enjoy this green looks cafe design. The first cafe is Akasha Richmond's uber-green restaurant in Culver City. A green cafe withan eco-friendly uniforms, great space, lighting is just right, noise level is "spirited but manageable," there's a pizza she's ordered more than once, her friend got all "dreamy-eyed" over a vegetarian bowl with Punjab beans, desserts are delcious.

This is the Lettus cafe, a green restaurant, a natural cafe that made of natural fabrics and a unique stone-like floor, The fabric is 100 percent natural and will not off-gas toxic chemicals into the air—an environmental complement to Weiss’s organic food. The floor is covered with all-natural tiles from Royal Mosa, a company that recaptures and recycles all of its waste, from pigments to gas particulates.

Green With Envy

Happy Monday, everyone! Mine was brightened by an early morning email from Joni. A quick glimpse into a fantastic home that makes me feel, oh so envious. Especially this kitchen! I can honestly say, this is the first time I've seen a kitchen so perfect for me, that I would not want to change a detail. I LOVE it! Sadly, some other lucky person will be enjoying it, since it recently sold. Whoever you are, if you are reading this; please don't change that kitchen!

The rest of the house's color scheme is beautiful too! I love the earthy neautrals with an occasional bright, bright color. So exciting:) Also, check out the black stained concrete floors. Ahhh, I'm so smitten.

This house is located behind one of our favorite family restaurants, so I have been admiring it's exterior for a couple of years now. Mark and I always said we would want a house that looks just like this, who knew I would feel the same way about the interior too!

Whiter Whites.

Glossy, bright, fresh, and light. I love all those words and they describe this kitchen well! This all white
color scheme is modern and timeless. I can imagine myself making a sparkling pitcher of lemonade along w/ a brightly colored salad in this fun place. Yummy! I wonder if this kitchen would help me lose weight?
Hmmm?
