Trina Turk for Schumacher - Collection Two

I loved this embroidered fabric in person, this image capture isn't doing it justice!

Schumacher has launched its second collaboration with california fashion designer Trina Turk. The new Spring collection of indoor/outdoor fabrics are as colorful and fun as her first. Most of her new prints are fashioned or vintage inspired. A number of the prints were in her 2010 fashion line, the others are interpretations of vintage fabrics. {love that}

I saw them in person at the Design Center this morning, the perfect pick me up on such a slushy day!

Friday Favorite: Anna Maria Horner

Happy Friday! This week went by very quickly and I haven't had a chance to post very much. I didn't want to leave all of you hanging for the weekend, so I thought I would share a new favorite website. If you need to get a refill on spectacular color, hop on over to Anna Maria Horner's site. Its so fun! I love these pretty rugs, they are like a party for your floors:)

You can also buy beautiful fabrics, sewing patterns, and smaller pieces of fabrics. I love these for smaller projects or for projects w/out large budgets. Now, I'm going to imagine how I could use some of these for myself!
Have a great (and creative) weekend:)

A Little Confession

Those of you who read regularly know how I love to go on and on about simplicity and minimalism. Well, all that is true; but I do have a confession to make. I love, LOVE paisley patterns! Yeah! I mean paisley is about as opposite from minimalism as one can get, right? Just the word brings up images of stuffy British libraries or something. I know, but I still love it. The intricate patterns and color combinations have always intrigued me. They are sort of an optical illusion. Some of you are probably skeptical, so I found a few examples of modern ways to use such a traditional pattern. With large scale and modern colors, these paisleys are anything but stuffy:)

Don't you just love this chair? I mean no one can object to paisley, when its coming from Anthropologie! This is just so yummy!

Simple Silhouettes

Eatable of Many Orders, is a Japanese company that stresses the importance of the "ingredients" of fashion.
I love the the beautiful materials and shapes of their clothing.

Wearstler Fabrics.

Last week I found the picture of the sofa above, and fell in love. Later, I found a Kelly Wearstler fabric that looks very similar. I must have this! Of course, I haven't seen how much it costs yet.
P.S. I spent about an hour trying to figure out where I found both the picture, and mention of this fabric line, and never figured it out. If anyone know, please enlighten me.

Colorful Table Runners.

These fun table runners are from a Santa Monica store called Huset. They are dedicated to bringing Scandinavian design to the U.S. I have to say, I am not very big on using table runners; but these are too good to pass up. The vintage Swedish patterns are great for adding color to a room.
